Sunnybrook School’s expansive playground has a variety of areas that foster creativity and opportunities for different kinds of play. We are fortunate to have an outdoor space that includes an artificial turf area, basketball hoops, four square, two climbers, a sandbox, wooden blocks and a shaded picnic table area. The playground is a place where students have the ability to play in mixed age groups and have the opportunity to enjoy the space before school and twice during the school day. The recent IB PYP Enhancements put renewed emphasis on the value of unstructured, free play in the social, emotional, and academic growth of young children, and our playground is the perfect setting for this important kind of learning.
