A GR 6 student initiated an action to donate old, gently used backpacks to Thorncliffe Park Public School. This will help students who don’t have a backpack or school supplies have a better start to their year. Thank you to the community for donating 67 BACKPACKS for the drive – what a great action.

Kindie Play Day 2024
Our Grade 6 students planned a Play Day for our Kindergarten students. As Grade 6 students they show their leadership skills and run stations and activities for the youngest students. They did an incredible job and the students loved the afternoon.

Founder’s Day 2024
Today we celebrated Sunnybrook’s founder, Mrs Hoff, with a special ceremony and a BBQ in the playground. Parents and students celebrated Sunnybrook’s 72 years and we are proud of our school and history.

Ecoschool Certification – GOLD

Congratulations to our Grade 6 graduating class of 2024! Our 16 grads are off to 13 different schools and proud of the diverse schools they chose! We know each of them is well prepared and we wish them the best of luck at their new middle schools.

Wizard Of Oz
All of the students performed in the musical Wizard of Oz. Every GR 1-6 student is involved in the process of creating sets and props, dancing, and singing in the musical. They have the opportunity to perform two nights and the show was spectacular!
SBS Instrumental Recital
Sunnybrook held our first instrumental recital at Leaside United Church. It was a glorious celebration of music. Sunnybrook students had a chance to perform their piano, violin, cello, guitar, harp, and singing talents for our audience. It was a wonderful afternoon! This is a tradition in the making!
